Site Notice
It's been a long time, hasn't it? I'm guessing it's been something like four years now since I first opened this site. In fact, I don't even remember when it was when Trust was born - except for the fact that I was still in high school. So yes, it has in fact been a long time.
What am I getting at? Well, ever since those days before the horrible dub aired on Adult Swim the fandom was a lot smaller and a lot more inviting than it is now. Since then though, with the fandom explosion for the series, there have been an increasing number of drama, wankage, copycats, ect appearing on the internet. Also, I noticed that the general quality of Inuyasha sites (and fanfictions for that matter) have dropped – way too low than should be acceptable. The sad thing is though; these sites and works of childish quality have been embraced, praised and even encouraged which has deteriorated the Inuyasha fandom even more.
And so, I left the Inuyasha fandom for about two years – only returning to this site about once to change the layout in November of last year. Browsing the internet, I noticed that a lot of ideas and creations that myself and other long time site owners had have been overused by the new population who wanted to create their own sites. This lead to me planning on closing down this site permanently despite the absurd amount of emails I was receiving begging me to update.
But what to do? There was nothing uniquely Trust anymore because it had all been copied in some way or another. Then it hit me, the three. Kikyou is beyond my favorite character even more than Inuyasha. Kagome, Inuyasha and Kikyou's story moves me more than any other fictional relationship ever. That fact alone was unique in itself, since most people either hate Kikyou or Kagome. To make a shrine that glorifies not only the present relationship of the manga but also the past would be something not done before in the fandom world.
However, it is also risky ground because almost all of the fandom population would turn against me for liking both of the heroines. After much thought and consideration though, I decided to go ahead and do it because now, at least, I know that I have something new but also something that most people do not approve of and thus – are less likely to steal.
So everyone, enjoy the new Trust. (On that note, this should explain to you all with more than enough reasons why the moments and ask pages have been removed.)
